'Eventide: that ten minute or less time frame between the sun going down and complete darkness. That time when the day is coming to an end and preparing to rest. That peaceful period of waiting while crickets are preparing to sing and fragrance of evening is setting over the ground. Growing up, this was always my favorite part of the day. It seems almost stolen from time. Not night, but not day either. 'Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!' (1 Chronicles 16:29 NKJV) Should I be asked to define 'the beauty of holiness,' one definition would be eventide. The scripture calls us to worship Him there, to call out to the Lord and seek His presence where He may be found. I want to be where He is. And should you be looking for me, some late Indiana afternoon, you might find me sitting on my deck watching the woods go dark, drinking in His goodness and enjoying the presence of the Almighty.'

Jay has enjoyed a career as a keyboard artist and has served as accompanist for may artists. He has traveled extensively with Sandi Patty as music director and accompanist.
